Terressa Dorsey, also known as FlyGirlDiva, is the CEO & Founder of DIVA’s Lounge, an inspiring platform that celebrates plus-sized women. Born in Nuremberg, Germany, where her parents met in the Army, Terressa's vibrant personality was shaped by the diverse cultures she experienced while living in various locations. Growing up as a pastor's kid, she was limited to church music, which fostered her early love for singing, dancing, and acting. This foundation sparked her curiosity about what the church deemed 'worldly music,' leading her to explore radio tunes during her teenage years. Despite a sheltered upbringing, her confidence and big personality helped her emerge as a leader and trendsetter in her community. Since 1991, Miami has been her home, where she attended Norland Senior High School as a flagette in the band and later joined the Michael Krop Senior High School Theater Program, performing in competitions across the US. Alongside her passion for the arts, Terressa aspired to help others, dreaming of becoming a doctor before switching her focus to study Biology at Florida Atlantic University and later transferring to FAMU.

Described as Big, Bold, and Beautiful, Terressa stands 5’11 and has always caught the attention of modeling agents eager to showcase her in Runway Modeling. She has graced the runway in over 20 shows and was one of the first plus-size models accepted into the #1 modeling troop on the FAMU campus, known as The Epicureans. Additionally, she was a finalist in Comedienne Monique’s first plus-sized pageant show, Monique’s Fat Chance, which aired on WEtv in 2006. Though she has achieved much in a short time, she eventually shifted her major to broadcasting. As a confident, independent, full-figured woman, Terressa aimed to demonstrate that big girls can accomplish anything, leading her to join The Chunky Chickz. This movement provided a supportive networking space for plus-sized women in Miami, and from it, the Chunky Chickz Radio Show emerged on DJ Affect’s station, w305.com. The show gained significant attention, earning a stamp of approval from Rick Ross, further motivating Terressa to pursue a career in radio. She attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, receiving her degree in Radio/Television.

Terressa interned at 99 Jamz, 103.5 The Beat FM, and Hot105, landing her first radio gig as a personality on Miami’s #1 Party Station, Power96, from 2014-2021. Throughout her career, she has interviewed numerous celebrities, including Rick Ross, Chrisette Michele, The Braxtons, 2 Chainz, Trey Songz, TBoz of TLC, Cameron, and 112. As FlyGirlDiva, she embodies a Jill of all trades, mastering various skills, and now hosts her own Talk Show, “DIVA's Lounge,” on Video Mix TV, aired on Channel 11.5 in South Florida. Terressa continues to evolve, becoming a business owner with her online boutique in 2019 and a Certified Life Coach in 2021. With her unwavering determination, there are no limits to where she can go!
